 Advanced Coastal Cruising

June  6, 2002 - Four day sail to Ensenada, Mexico. A great crew and instructor for a four day cruise to Ensenada and back on a 40' Beneteau - "Changes in Altitude".

Conflict at Sea

As we were leaving S.D. Bay, at big black submarine was bearing down on us.  I suppose we looked threatening, so the accompanying Naval Security boat pulled up along side and warned us to stay 500 yards off their starboard side.  Unfortunately I didn't get her picture, but there was a pretty cute girl on the machine gun of the security boat. Go Navy!

The Crew

Here's the crew - (l to r) myself, Jeannie, Bruce, Chris, Harold.  This is Saturday afternoon at the Coral Hotel and Marina in Ensenada.  We've just finished a big batch of margaritas and are getting ready to terrorize downtown Ensenada.

Oh yeah, here's the Gringos terrorizing Mexico.  What do you expect from two flashers from Kansas.  At least Chris above (from Riverside, CA) admits he's a Gringo.

From the locals point of view of the gringos in a resturaunt.

San Diego in the Summer?

Yea, that's me.  Hate to admit it, but this was Sunday morning in San Diego Bay.  A little damp and chilly.

Fearless Leader

Here's Bruce L. our instructor, motivator, and margarita maker.  Thanks!!!!
