Learning the Right way to Sail

Under Construction

I joined a Yacht Club.  Ok it's not a yacht club like Thurston Howell III would join – it's more of a sailing club.  Harbor Sailboats (www.harborsailboats.com) is on Harbor Island in San Diego where they offer sailing lessons, and rent sailboats. From 22' Capri boats up to 47' Hunters.  Nice fleet.

You have to be certified at different levels, to take out different size boats.  While I had a Hobie Cat in Houston with Danny Creedon, we taught ourselves how to sail by reading the manual and setting sail.  Wasn't real comforting sometimes with a 100 ton oil tanker bearing down on us, but we survived.

Here's a few pictures of the area and my first certification class.
