Marketing Publications Manager - Managed a staff of designers,
writers and planners. This group provided marketing communications materials,
technical publications, and product collateral. I was responsible for a multi-million dollar budget, and
integration with outside agencies, outsourced operations, and customer
literature fulfillment.
- Developed On-line literature and product information delivery systems.
- Directed publications conversion from workstation based platforms to
web-centric environments.
- Designed database publishing and literature management & tracking system.
- Web platform delivery design and development.
- Designed & wrote (MS Access) relational contact management system
Managed, designed and guided the implementation of many new
management tools and
corporate support systems These included a variety of new technologies such as
internet publishing, platform independent publishing via Adobe Acrobat, relational
database applications, and CD ROM catalogues.
The scope of projects included: the responsibility
for the design of
a new look and standardization of all product publications: developed marketing
collateral such as data sheets, product logos, price lists, and general graphics /style
guidelines; the design of a corporate engineering database and its integration with other
corporate needs, including publications.
In 1999, I managed the implementation of an outsourcing project with Standard
Register. We moved a multi-million dollar printing and distribution system across the
country. Related projects included complete redesign of processes to create, manage,
and distribute over 5,000 unique publication items.
