Sprint - United Telecom (Kansas City, San Diego 1979-1983)

I was a Product Specialist and then Product Manager for the Foresight Financial DSS (Decision Support System) and a suite of mainframe based accounting systems This mainframe based DSS software was actually a forerunner of the popular spreadsheets of today

  • Managed definition and enhancement of product
  • Created market positioning and strategy.
  • Developed marketing materials.
  • Personally managed product implementation at Lockheed Corporate, Carnival Cruise Lines, Pier1, numerous GE sites, General Dynamics, and other major corporations.

Sprint had a software division headquartered in San Diego.  This group developed accounting and analytical systems for Fortune 500 companies. This division had several names over time including Infonational, United Computing Systems, and On-Line Systems.
