Maui experienced some of
the biggest waves in 10 years while we were there. Something
about a high pressure system and waves coming down from Alaska - ya da,
ya da, ya da. All we know is they hurt. I had my bell run
(heard that loud ding when my head hit the sea floor) - lucky I was
drinking or it would have hurt. Brett sported a nice scrape on
his shoulder, Kevin kept going back for more - a masochist in the
family. And everybody got body-slammed numerous
times.
Guess what everyone? -
you're not supposed to boogie board when the surf is experiencing
'beach breaks' (see above picture).
